Karina Marino is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) supervised by Heather Carlile, MA, LPC-S. She focuses on helping youth and adults improve their quality of life and overcome the emotional and psychological challenges they face.
Karina specializes in working with people overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, trauma and low self-esteem. She uses somatic interventions and is certified in the use of yoga as a tool to assist those who have been through traumatic experiences. Her goal is to offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can reconnect with your body and emotions and find more joy, peace and well-being in your daily life. She is also certified in the Eagala model of equine psychotherapy.
Her therapeutic approach is tailored to the individual. She uses elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She works collaboratively with you to identify practical strategies to help you build a more fulfilled and connected life.
Karina’s advice if you are considering starting therapy: “Ask yourself: Do you want to live more at ease? Do you want to be more content or at peace? Do you want to feel more connected to yourself and others? If any of these questions resonate with you, therapy can be a powerful tool to transform your life.”
She is especially committed to the Hispanic and bilingual community. Speaking the same language and sharing cultural experiences enriches the therapeutic connection, allowing for a deeper and more authentic understanding.
