Jesus Camacho is a bilingual (English & Spanish) Licensed professional Counselor Associate under the Supervision of Lynda Johnson, PsyD, LPC-S and Dr. Tannaz Moein, LPC-S. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of North Texas and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University.
Jesus works with individuals of all ages. He approaches therapy from a collaborative and strengths-based perspective, recognizing that clients are the experts of their own lives. He includes many different theories in his work but primarily works under the umbrella of solution focused theory. He helps clients set goals and develop a path towards healing and understanding. Jesus empowers clients to be the best version of themselves and take ownership of their lives.
His professional background consists of working in domestic violence shelters and private practice settings. Throughout his professional and personal experiences, he has developed a deep appreciation for the complexity of mental health and the importance of individualized care. He values the importance of building strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, empathy, and authenticity. He strives to meet clients where they are while maintaining a supportive presence. He has a profound interest in working with individuals who are experiencing PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, and life transitions. He believes that therapy is not only about addressing challenges but also about helping individuals discover their strengths, values, and purpose.
Jesus is passionate about supporting individuals in navigating life’s challenges and fostering meaningful, lasting change. His interest in becoming a therapist is rooted in a strong belief that every individual deserves to feel heard, understood, and empowered during personal growth. He is committed to providing a safe, nonjudgmental, and culturally responsive space where clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, and develop effective coping strategies.
