Mrs. Carla J. Moffitt is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Approved Supervisor (LPC-S), Certified School Counselor (CSC), and trained EMDR therapist. Carla received her master’s degree in Counseling from East Texas State University and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Texas A & M University – Commerce for a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. In addition to private practice, Carla is also an Assistant Professor of Counseling at Amberton University.
She spent 20+ years as a School Counselor in public education prior to beginning clinical work, where she specializes in anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Carla has extensive experience in working with adult survivors of childhood abuse and other past traumas. She is also currently working on a specialized treatment for generalized anxiety disorder through application of EMDR Peak Performance protocols & Motivational Interviewing integration for adults.
Carla’s style of counseling is very integrative and highly dependent on the relationship she forms with her clients and working with them closely to achieve their treatment goals.
Outside of work, Carla enjoys spending time with her husband and family members – most notably attending her grandchildren’s sporting and dance events.
