Grace McKennon, LPC-Associate supervised by Dr. Tannaz Moein LPC-S, is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and hope. She provides a warm, attentive, and accepting therapeutic environment where clients can feel safe exploring difficult experiences, resilience building, and creating meaningful change.
Grace earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Texas A&M University. Her professional experience spans higher education, middle school settings, and adult education, providing her with a broad perspective on the unique challenges faced across different stages of life and has been keynote speaker for Partners Resource Network supporting Region 10 presenting on mental health in special education.
Grace has extensive experience in parent group psychoeducation, and supporting individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, identity issues, and maintaining sobriety. She has a strong background working with families, impacted by chronic illness or learning differences, helping clients navigate the emotional, relational, and practical challenges that often accompany caregiving and long-term health concerns.
Fluent in Spanish and grounded in multicultural competence, Grace strives to create an inclusive and culturally responsive counseling experience. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes developing self-awareness as a pathway to profound and lasting change in cognitive and behavioral patterns. Using a gentle, solution-focused orientation, she partners with clients to identify strengths, clarify goals, and overcome obstacles.
Grace is particularly passionate about supporting caregivers in prioritizing self-care, establishing healthy boundaries, and redefining relationships in ways that promote balance and well-being. She is committed to providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental space for trauma healing, where clients feel empowered to process their experiences at their own pace and move toward a more fulfilling and authentic life.
