Kim Hekmatyar is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a passion for helping adults overcome suffering due to issues such as trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, phobias, grief, stress, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. She seeks to deeply understand her clients and provides a warm and supportive therapeutic environment with a great respect for the strengths and wisdom that each person possesses. Kim listens intently and works collaboratively with clients in pursuit of their goals. Kim is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a psychotherapy treatment approach that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress caused by disturbing life experiences. Kim has diverse training that is uniquely applied to each individual’s personal needs to help them access a healthy, authentic, and fulfilling life. Kim is currently pursuing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She completed her Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin and has undergraduate degrees in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Houston and in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas.
